Doc Rivers “I Have My Eye Squarely on Miami”, Dismisses Lakers

Doc Rivers is taking a few shots at LA. Doc went as far as to say “Honestly, I don’t care about the Lakers”. Clearly he isn’t too worried about D12, Nash, Kobe, and friends out in LA. He also added that the Celtics have had more trouble historically with Bynum than Dwight. Doc clearly doesn’t respect Kobe’s ability to fit in the new system, which adds to his lack of concern..”I want to see Kobe (Bryant) keep moving the ball.”

“My honest thought as a coach right now…I have my eye squarely on Miami. I come up to my players during the year — they’re in the facility now — I bring up Miami every single day to them. I want them to hate them. I want them to beat them. That’s got to be our focus”, said Doc Rivers

The Heat have had the Celtics number for the last 2 post seasons, and even gotten Ray Allen to head to South Beach, building up a lot of animosity in the Boston locker room. This is a good rallying cry for Doc, but, if things go as they have the last couple years he is going to be in a world of hurt.
