Eminem Speaks On Drug Addiction, Near Death Experience

Back on April 25th, director Matthew Cooke and Entourage’s Vincent Chase Adrian Grenier released their How To Make Money Selling Drugs documentary. Featured on the film are the likes of 50 Cent, Russell Simmons and Freeway Ricky Ross speaking on their past dealings with, well… drugs. In the clip above, Eminem speaks on his past addiction to Vicodin and other such pain killers.

When I took my first Vicodin, it was like this feeling of ‘ahh.’ Like everything was not only mellow, but didn’t feel any pain. It just kind of numbed things… People tried to tell me that I had a problem. I would say, ‘Get that fuckin’ person outta here. I can’t believe they said that shit to me.’ They knew nothing about my fuckkin’ life. Are they out of their fuckin’ mind? I’m not out there shooting heroin. I’m not fuckin’ out there putting coke up my nose. I’m not smoking crack.

The revealing piece also has Em recalling a specific incident that left him in the hospital and close to death.

Had I got to the hospital about two hours later, I would have died. My organs were shutting down, my livers, my kidney, everything. They were gonna have to put me on dialysis, they didn’t think I was gonna make it. My bottom was gonna be death.
