VIA: Krysten Ritter‘s B—- in Apt 23 is gone, but her Gia will be back for the Veronica Mars movie — as will Ryan Hansen’s Dick Casablancas.
Creator and executive producer Rob Thomas announced both returns Friday.
“Despite the name of her most recent television series, Krysten couldn’t be lovelier to work with,” Thomas wrote in an email to the film’s Kickstarter contributors. “I’m thrilled that she’ll be joining us for the movie.”
Meanwhile, Thomas urged fans to view the video Hansen made about being part of the project. (No seriously, watch it; it’s embedded below, and there’s a choreographed number — featuring Glee‘s Harry Shum Jr. and So You Think You Can Dance‘s Cyrus, Phillip and Marko – and a cameo by co-star Kristen Bell).
Also returning are Brandon Hillock (as Deputy Sacks), Kevin Sheridan (“chronic ne’er-do-well” Sean Friedrich) and Jonathan Chesner (stoner Corny).
They join a cast that already includes former series regulars Bell, Enrico Colantoni, Jason Dohring, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino and Francis Capra, as well as Christine Lakin (Susan Knight), Amanda Noret (Madison Sinclair) and Sam Huntington (Luke Haldeman).
Hansen’s recent work includes an arc as “Candy Andy” on 2 Broke Girls‘ recently wrapped second season.
