Eminem’s Childhood Home Demolished by State of Michigan Following Fire

VIA: Eminem’s childhood home — which was recently shown (in tact) on the cover of The Marshall Mathers LP 2 — was demolished last Wednesday by the State of Michigan.

Following a fire that occurred on November 7th, the house at 19946 Dresdon was deemed “structurally unsafe” by Michigan Land Bank, the state agency that owns the property, and was ordered to be taken down.

“The condition of the property post-fire presents a safety hazard that the Land Bank is responsible for removing. The goal is to demolish and clean up the site, so neighborhood safety and order can be restored.” – Michigan Land Bank director Kim Homan
