Entourage Creator Is Still Pissed That Eli Manning Backed Out Of A Guest Appearance

NY Post: Eli Manning won’t be rolling with Vincent Chase anytime soon.

“Entourage” creator Doug Ellin slammed the Giants quarterback, alleging that Manning blew off the chance to appear in the HBO show.

“One of the great tragedies was Eli Manning bailing on me. He said, ‘I love the show. I’d love to be on it,'” Ellin said during a recent episode of “In Depth with Graham Bensinger.”

But Ellin said it got “beyond frustrating” when repeated calls to Manning were not returned after he had already written a scene for him and brother Peyton.

“I was going crazy,” Ellin said, while promoting the movie that hits theaters June 3.

Until Mark Wahlberg swooped in and suggested he and best bud Tom Brady do the scene.

“(Tom Brady) was just awesome,” said Ellin, who is a Giants fan. “He was easy to work with and was happy to be there. We called him for the movie and he showed up the same way.”

While Ellin isn’t switching teams anytime soon, he has high hopes for Manning’s eventual replacement.

“If Russell Wilson was the quarterback of the Giants, I would be a much happier person,” Ellin said of the Seahawks quarterback.
