Chris Jericho to Host WWE Tough Enough Featuring Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan And Paige

VIA: Longtime WWE Superstar Chris Jericho announced on Thursday that he's going to serve as the host for the sixth season of Tough Enough. Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan and Paige will join him as part of the reality show's new cast.

"Y2J" confirmed his role via social media:

The WWE issued a press release providing further details about the new season. Hogan, Bryan and Paige are going to comprise a panel of experts as the individuals selected for the show get an opportunity to earn a one-year, $250,000 contract with the wrestling company.

WWE executive producer Kevin Dunn commented on the changes to the format. The show is now going to follow the journey of the contestants in real time. Viewers at home will have a chance to impact the process through the Tough Enough App, which is set for release on May 25.

"This season of WWE Tough Enough will be the most innovative, unique and engaging series on television," Dunn said. "A live global telecast, real-time voting with immediate results, and unprecedented use of digital and social media during and between telecasts will all lead to a groundbreaking viewing experience."

The show will air on the USA Network starting on June 23. One man and one woman will eventually be crowned winners and join the WWE roster.

Along with the star-studded cast, the release also notes that Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Triple H and John Cena, among others, will be making appearances. The competition will take place in Florida, where the company's NXT brand is located.

Jericho, Hogan and Bryan have been around the wrestling business for a long time and should provide invaluable insight for the participants. Paige, 22, became the youngest Divas champion in history on the night after WrestleMania last year and is a product of the WWE's development system.

Now the question is whether that quartet will be able to find the next wave of talent on the latest edition of Tough Enough. Getting to work with such high-profile talent is certainly a golden opportunity for anybody with dreams of making it in the world of wrestling.
