Eli Manning Says He's Not Better Than Peyton Manning

Eli Manning has made it known he's not better than his brother, Peyton.

Even though the younger Manning won his second Super Bowl this past season with the Giants, in which he defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots the second time in as many Super Bowls, he still doesn't think he's better than his brother. Peyton Manning has one less Super Bowl than his brother but has four league MVPs and many more pro-bowls.

Still, some people believed Eli took the next step and surpassed his brother this past year by winning another Super Bowl. So he made sure people know that he still thinks he's not better than Peyton. In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Eli had this to say: "I've never tried to compete with Peyton," "I never tried to say I need to be better than him. I've accepted at times that I wasn't maybe as good as him because he was the No. 1 high school player in the country. In college, he was going to be the first pick in the draft, so if I tried to go out there and be the same person and be better than him or the same person as him, I'm going to drive myself crazy. I'm going to go out and be the best quarterback I can be and get the most out of my potential. If that's better than him, great. If it's not, so be it."

It's nice to see the younger Manning give his older brother the respect he deserves. Even though Eli won another Superbowl, Peyton really didn't have a chance to get his own as he missed the entire season due to an injury. Whether or not Eli is better is debatable but the fact that they both have enormous respect for each other's game isn't.
